Cities and towns across the North and East Syria region are experiencing unstable weather conditions accompanied by snowfall and strong winds, leading to reduced horizontal visibility and difficulty moving along intercity roads. These conditions are expected to continue until tomorrow, Thursday.

In this context, the region’s Traffic Directorate called on drivers to exercise the utmost caution while driving, to avoid traveling between cities unless absolutely necessary, and to adhere strictly to traffic regulations in order to safeguard public safety.

In a statement, the Directorate clarified that the latest updates on road conditions indicate that all roads in the Jazira and Euphrates cantons remain passable with difficulty due to snow accumulation. Meanwhile, the Tabqa and Raqqa cantons are experiencing difficult driving conditions as a result of rainfall, while roads in Deir ez-Zor Canton are currently passable.

The Directorate also urged citizens to comply with traffic instructions and laws, reduce speed, maintain safe distances between vehicles, avoid affected roads whenever possible, and follow official announcements for any emergency updates.
