torch of struggle will remain raging thanks to philosophy of the leader "Newroz Celebrations"

This morning, the Newroz 2024 celebration was launched in the town of Hemo in the city of Qamishlo, under the slogan “Freedom for Leader APO, the solution to the Kurdish issue” with the participation of the region’s components of Kurds, Arabs and Armenians. After lighting the flame of Newroz and welcoming the attendees, the co-chair of the Democratic Union Party, Asia Abdullah, congratulated the struggling peoples and resistance fighters in the Turkish occupation prisons on Newroz this year.

She stressed: "Resistance and protection are necessary. Without them, the people will be subject to annihilation. Today, our ranks are organized and we possess a will and revolutionary values that we have acquired over decades, and they must be protected."

She explained: “Our message from Newroz this year is to connect with the leader intellectually, and to show that no one can distance us from our leader, and we must end the international silence and respond to the voice of the people until the freedom of the leader Abdullah Ocalan is achieved.”

Then, the co-chair of the Democratic Society Movement, Gharib Hasso, gave a speech in which he said: “Newroz is a historic day and has a culture, and the flame that Kawa the blacksmith lit is being followed by the leader Abdullah Ocalan, and for this reason we celebrate, to revive this legacy in the spirit of solidarity and cohesion among peoples.”

He continued: "Over many decades, the Kurdish people have been subjected to many arbitrary policies by the countries occupying Kurdistan, which tried, by various means, to distort the meaning of Nowruz, the meaning of resistance, and the meaning of the will of the peoples, but the true, essential, and historical inheritance was restored and revived by Leader Abdullah Ocalan."

Amuda

The celebration of Amuda district began after the people of the district, its towns and villages flocked to Newroz Square in the village of Jhager Bazar, with a minute of silence. Then the people listened to an audio recording of Leader Abdullah Ocalan, in which he spoke about the importance of the holiday for the Kurdish people. Then the Newroz flame was lit.

Then, a member of the Kongra Star Coordination Committee, Ramzia Muhammad, gave a speech in which she praised the continuing struggle in the face of all the attacks launched on the people in North and East Syria and in the mountains of Kurdistan, and she considered the continuing struggle to be “the strongest response to the occupiers and enemies despite the brutal and barbaric methods used to intimidate the people and drive them away about the struggle.”

She stated, "It is our responsibility to protect the gains of the revolution that were achieved thanks to the thought and philosophy of Leader Ocalan," and stressed, "The flame of freedom will rise and will not be extinguished thanks to our resistance and solidarity until victory is achieved and the freedom of Leader Abdullah Ocalan is achieved."

In his turn, member of the Democratic Union Party, Muhammad Abdel Rahim, blessed all peoples struggling against oppressive policies and occupiers on Newroz.

He stressed that "the freedom of leader Abdullah Ocalan is a guarantee of resolving the crises of all peoples, and on this basis we must delve deeper into his thought and application to thwart the policies of capitalist global systems."

He called for "togetherness and unity against all conspiracies targeting resistant peoples, breaking isolation, and achieving the freedom of leader Abdullah Ocalan."

The celebration continues with artistic groups presenting songs and theatrical performances.

Tirbespiyê

The Newroz 2024 celebration, which was organized in the village of Drejek in the Tirbespiyê district, continues with speeches, the first of which is the speech of Kongra Star Administrator Zainab Murad, in which she explained, “The revolutionary people’s war has proven its worth against the occupiers, because it is the only way to stand up to them and thwart their plans, so we must... Everyone should realize that we are facing major hostile plans that target our existence, our self-administration, our strength and our unity as peoples living on the territory of the northern and eastern Syrian region and on the geography of Kurdistan in general.”

She stressed that the components that have joined forces since the start of the revolution in North and East Syria have been able, with great sacrifices, to achieve great gains on the ground, and she added, "Today these components are subjected to a war of extermination by Turkish fascism amid international silence, but from here we affirm the continuation of our unity and solidarity against all conspiracies."

In turn, the co-chair of the Union of Municipalities in Jazira Canton, Suleiman Arab, said in a speech on behalf of the Democratic Autonomous Administration of the North and East Syria region, that Newroz means victory, resistance, and unity, and he continued: “The truth of Newroz is that Kawa the blacksmith overthrew the authority of injustice, and he triumphed and lit the flame of Newroz that was not It still glows to this day.”

Suleiman Arab noted what the Turkish occupation was doing in the occupied areas and likened the crimes committed against the children of Afrin to what the unjust king did in his era. He added: "Victory is near. Let us end occupation and tyranny and raise the banner of freedom and brotherhood."

He concluded by saying, "We, in the Autonomous Administration, are determined to win. We will stand against all rulers and darkness, and we will achieve stability for our people."

Girkê Legê

The speeches of the Jal Agha and  Girkê Legê celebration organized in the village of Halik also emphasized the necessity of achieving the physical freedom of the leader Abdullah Ocalan, as the member of the Democratic Union Party, Barvin Yusuf, said in her speech that their struggle continues in the spirit of the oppressed Dogan and Zilan until the physical freedom of the leader Abdullah Ocalan is achieved.

She continued, "With the model of AA and the spirit of the democratic nation, we will resist and struggle in the face of genocide, and we pledge that we, the people of the region, will protect our gains under the democratic nation project."

She added, "In the spirit of struggle in the mountains of Kurdistan and Imrali, we will resist and guarantee victory and freedom."

  She stressed, "Newroz is resistance and uprising. We will fight in its spirit against genocide, with the leadership of free women, the philosophy of our leader, the approach of our martyrs, and our democratic project."

In his turn, the co-chair of the Peoples’ Council in Jazira Canton, Hikmat Habib, said in his speech, “We are the owners of the project of the democratic nation and Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, which was established thanks to the thought and philosophy of leader Abdullah Ocalan. Therefore, his freedom must be achieved and the Kurdish issue resolved, because it will not be possible.” There is a solution in Syria except by resolving the Kurdish issue.”

He continued, "In the spirit of Newroz, we, the Arabs, Syriacs, and Kurds, will defeat the dictatorial regimes, defeat the authorities controlling Turkey, and rebuild the infrastructure that Erdogan destroyed, by joining hands."

He stressed: "We are continuing our democratic project to build a democratic, pluralistic, decentralized Syria."

Deirk

In the celebration of the city of Derik, which was held in the village of Mamshur, after lighting the flame of Newroz, the co-chair of the Democratic Society Movement, Rokn Ahmed, confirmed that Newroz represents a day of new resurrection for peoples who have gotten rid of injustice. She called for "escalating the struggle and fighting until peace is established between societies and salvation from the policies of regimes hostile to their will."

Then, the co-chair of the Executive Council of the Democratic Autonomous -Administration in Jazira Canton, Talaat Younis, delivered a speech in which he said, “Newroz is freedom, peace, consolidating the brotherhood of peoples, and reducing occupation, and on this basis, the struggle must be expanded among all segments of society to achieve victory.”
