Afrin displaced people currently residing in the city of Qamishlo are preparing to head to the city of Hasaka, in preparation for their return to their homes as part of the first batch of returning displaced people.

On March 7, the Internal Security Forces (Asayish) announced that the first group of displaced people from Afrin would return to their homes on March 9. This group consists of approximately 400 families who will head to the districts of Shiyeh, Jindires, and Mobata.

Meanwhile, families residing in Qamishlo, who will be returning as part of this first group, began preparing early this morning to travel collectively to Hasaka and from there to their homes.

According to information obtained by ANHA agency, the displaced people will travel in approximately 50 passenger buses and 75 "Inter" brand trucks, which were arranged by the Afrin-Shahba Displaced Persons Council to transport them from Qamishlo to Hasaka. Dozens of citizens with private vehicles are also heading to Hasaka to return with the convoy.
