To protect Syrian women right,, Kongra Star calls for unity under one umbrella

Kongra Star in the Euphrates Canton issued a statement denouncing the attacks of the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries and stressed the need for women to escalate the struggle by "joining their democratic project." The statement was read in the Free Women's Square in the city of Kobani, by Kongra Star member Peyman Alloush. 

At its beginning, the statement praised the gains achieved with the July 19 Revolution, explaining that it laid a democratic and free foundation for the people of NE Syria, and became a model for the freedom-loving people and the free women’s revolution.

The statement continued: "With the collapse of the Baath regime and the turmoil that Syrian lands are experiencing today, the Turkish occupation state and its mercenaries are renewing their attacks on our region, and they want to occupy more lands. The attack on Kobani in particular comes as revenge for the defeat of ISIS mercenaries."

The statement stressed that the city of Kobani has consolidated the national spirit among the Kurds, and will resist again in the spirit of Arin and Kalhat, and defeat the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries. The statement stressed that, as part of Syria, we live with our culture, language and identity in order to build a new Syria and develop a new constitution to protect the rights of everyone.

At its conclusion, the statement called on all women to get involved and take their places in their democratic system, and to make the project of NE Syria a right for all Syrian women.
