Fighters from the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), participating in the battles to defend the Tishrin Dam, the Qaraqozaq Bridge, and the surrounding areas against the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries, spoke to ANHA agency.

Fighter Jamal Afrin stated:"The Turkish occupation and its mercenaries have been launching attacks for some time on the areas of Tishrin Dam, Qaraqozaq Bridge, and Deir Hafer. These attacks are being met with heroic resistance, and we assure them that this resistance will continue until we expel the occupiers. We will not allow them to occupy our areas, because we are the rightful owners of this land and we will not give up that right."

He added: "We salute the resistance of our people protesting at Tishrin Dam, who are supporting their sons on the frontlines. We want our people to be confident that our morale is high and we will not allow the occupation to enter our lands."

 Fighter Diyar Afrin said:

"Despite the challenges we face on the frontlines and the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries using all types of advanced weaponry, a heroic resistance is being written at the Tishrin Dam by fighters of the People’s Protection Units (YPG) and Women’s Protection Units (YPJ)."

He continued: "We call on all youth in Syria to join the revolution and play their role in this phase—whether militarily or politically—based on the thought and philosophy of Leader Abdullah Öcalan, who emphasized the importance of the role of youth."

Fighter Sarhad Karbawi affirmed: "Fighters from the People’s Protection Units and Women’s Protection Units have been mounting a heroic resistance on the frontlines for nearly four months, supported by local people standing beside them at the Tishrin Dam fronts."
