Tishrin Dam fighters: Enemy won't overcome our strength and willpower

Fighters on the front lines at Tishrin Dam spoke to ANHA agency about the resistance of the people at the dam and the implementation of the revolutionary people's war principle.

Ronahi Dijwar, a fighter in the Women's Protection Units, commented on the ongoing resistance for 51 days, saying: "As Women's Protection Units fighters, we are always ready to strike devastating blows against the occupying Turkish state and its mercenaries."

"The dam has become a dam of life" Regarding the attacks by the Turkish occupying state on the dam, Ronahi stated: "The dam has turned into a dam of life, as everyone here is defending a dignified life."

Rohani mentioned that they rely on the principle of legitimate defense and continued: "As forces, we adopt the principle of legitimate defense, but if dirty hands extend to our land, we will respond and confront them."

"We have new strategies and techniques"

Çîçek Afrin, a fighter in the Women's Protection Units, said: "We will not forget the efforts and sacrifices of the martyrs, and we will continue to follow their path always." She pointed to the mentality of the Turkish occupying state and said: "The Turkish occupying state has been targeting the Kurds and all peoples demanding freedom for years, which is why it is intensifying its attacks on the region."

Çîçek elaborated on the military strategy they follow: "We have started a new campaign to fight in this war, using professional methods, and this has instilled fear in their hearts. I assure you that the enemy and its techniques will not overcome our strength and will, and the enemy has been defeated long ago."

"We are engaged in a historic resistance"

Savash Militan, who is fighting alongside his comrades on the front lines, said: "Tishrin Dam and the Qereqozaqê Bridge have witnessed fierce battles for a while, and this battle is one of dignity. We are defending our dignity here."

Militan highlighted the national resistance and said: "We are writing the history of resistance, as all components are resisting together on the same front, not just the Kurds."

Savash Militan concluded his statement by saying: "We, in the Syrian Democratic Forces, do not attack anyone, but we defend ourselves against anyone who attacks us, and we will continue to respond to them always."
