The National Student Union and the Teachers Union in Hasaka organized a demonstration today, denouncing the Turkish occupation's attacks on NE Syria, particularly the Tishrin Dam and the targeting of citizens protesting to protect it. The demonstration was held under the slogan, "For the land, honor, language, and humanity, we are all SDF."

Thousands of students and teachers participated in the demonstration, raising banners that read "SDF is our force," "SDF is our dignity," and "Either a free life or death with dignity." Participants also raised the flags of the Syrian Democratic Forces and the National Student Union, chanting slogans such as "Long live the resistance of the Syrian Democratic Forces and the Women's Protection Units" and "Long live the resistance at Tishrin Dam."

The demonstration started from the Sinalko roundabout and moved towards the Firefighting roundabout in the Tal Hajar neighborhood, where it turned into a large public gathering. During the event, the National Student Union issued a statement to the public, which was read by member Lylaf Ahmad in Kurdish and member Orhan Mahmoud in Arabic.

The statement condemned the Turkish occupation's attacks on NE Syria, including the areas surrounding the Tishrin Dam. It praised the resilience of the Syrian Democratic Forces and the Women's Protection Units (YPJ), who stand against these attacks. The statement affirmed that the resistance at Tishrin Dam is a "historic battle" being written in the pages of struggle.

The statement pointed out that the occupation's attacks are part of its attempts to fulfill its ambitions in Syrian territories and revive what is called the "National Pact." It added, "The goal of the Turkish occupying state is to seize parts of Syria and annex them to its territory."

The statement also called on students and teachers to take responsibility and protect the land and homeland by all possible means. It said, "We, the students and teachers, declare our support for the Syrian Democratic Forces and call for resistance against the Turkish occupation and all attempts to control our land."

At the end of the gathering, the statement called on international organizations and the global community to intervene to stop the attacks on the Tishrin Dam and the region of NE Syria and urged the Syrian people to unite and resist the occupation attempts.
