The city of Tirbespiye in the Jazira region witnessed a protest on Wednesday morning by public transport drivers, who objected to the continued suspension of their service diesel fuel allocations. They called on the relevant authorities to quickly resume distribution to ensure the continuity of the transportation sector.

During the protest, drivers temporarily halted transportation on the Tirbespiye–Qamishlo route, saying their main demand is the provision of service diesel fuel, which they rely on to operate their vehicles. They warned that the ongoing shortage would affect transportation between cities and increase the burden on citizens.

The Autonomous Administration provides service diesel fuel to transportation vehicles at a price of 525 old Syrian pounds per liter, which helps maintain transportation fares at affordable levels for citizens, both within cities and on intercity routes.
