Three people killed in ammunition explosion in Idlib countryside

Three people, including a child and a woman, were killed and three others from the same family were injured in an explosion inside their home in Termanin, likely caused by the dismantling of ammunition.

Three people, including a child and a woman, were killed, and three others from the same family, including a child and a woman, were injured in an explosion of unknown cause that occurred inside their home in the town of Termanin in the northern Idlib countryside on Friday.

According to a Civil Defense statement on Telegram, its teams "recovered the bodies of the dead, rescued the injured from under the rubble, and transported them to the hospital for treatment. They also inspected and secured the site."

A security source in the city told local media that the explosion was caused by the detonation of munitions a civilian was dismantling inside the house.

This explosion comes about a day after a massive explosion in the town of Maarat Misrin in the northern Idlib countryside, which killed seven people and injured 157 others, according to a preliminary toll.
