Thousands from the cities and towns of the Tabqa, Deir ez-Zor, and Raqqa Cantons gathered, along with representatives from the Democratic Autonomous Administrations in the areas, the Future Syria Party, the Zenobia Women’s Gathering, the Internal Security Forces, and the Democratic Union Party. They joined the mass march organized to denounce the international conspiracy against leader Abdullah Ocalan, represented by the co-chair of the Executive Council of the Autonomous Administration, Evin Swed.

The organized march, led by the People’s Initiative for the Freedom of Leader Abdullah Ocalan, was held under the slogan “Physical Freedom for Leader Abdullah Ocalan and Defeat Turkish Occupation.” It began from Al-Mujamma Square in Raqqa city, where participants held pictures of the leader and banners displaying the slogan of the march while chanting “No to isolation of the leader,” “Physical freedom for the leader,” “No life without the leader,” “Down with Turkish occupation,” and “Turkey is fascist.”

As the crowd of demonstrators reached the Municipal Stadium in Raqqa, the march transformed into a speech event, starting with a moment of silence and several speeches.

Mohammad Al-Dakheel, co-chair of the Executive Council of the Democratic Autonomous Administration of Deir ez-Zor, noted, “Today marks the 26th anniversary of the international conspiracy meticulously crafted against the leader and international thinker Abdullah Ocalan, the founder of the Democratic Nation project and one of the most important icons of the struggle for the rights of peoples seeking peace and freedom.”

Al-Dakheel added, “On this day, we remember how the forces of evil in the world came together to execute the conspiracy and kidnap the leader in coordination and cooperation with Turkey and several other countries, leading him to Turkey to be imprisoned in Imrali, where he is the sole inmate, isolated in a single cell under unprecedented conditions of isolation.”

He stated that the Western countries involved in the international conspiracy believed that by arresting the leader, they would limit the spread of his ideas. However, on the contrary, his thoughts became a source from which all peoples seeking freedom have drawn, and they have become the most prominent example of the success of the revolution of free thought, namely the Democratic Nation project in NE Syria.

In his closing remarks, Al-Dakheel called on the international community and its institutions to fulfill their duties and responsibilities by immediately ending the system of torture and extermination, unconditionally releasing leader Abdullah Ocalan and holding Turkish authorities fully legally responsible for what he has endured over the past years.

Meanwhile, Sheikh Ibrahim Al-Awais, member of the Democratic Islamic Conference in Raqqa, stated, “We are living today a decisive moment in the history of our region, and we are heading toward a future where we either become part of what they design or we stand united and preserve the achievements of our sons and daughters who sacrificed their lives and youth to establish the values of humanity, love, and brotherhood (brotherhood of peoples).”

Al-Awais continued, “All components of NE Syria participated in building this administration after liberating our cities and villages from the evil hands of ISIS and its counterparts. The blood of Kurds, Arabs, Syriacs, Armenians, Assyrians, Circassians, and others has mingled in defense of dignity and freedom, contrary to what the enemies planned and bet on internal conflict.”

He called on all free people and believers in the Middle East and the world to raise their voices high and express their stance against the injustices faced by the bearer of the banner of freedom, democracy, and brotherhood of peoples, and to advocate for the physical freedom of international thinker Abdullah Ocalan as a first step toward resolving all outstanding issues in the Middle East and the world.

On his part, Mohammad Al-Sayel, co-chair of the Martyrs’ Families Council in the Tabqa region, noted that “this conspiracy brought together several countries with varying ideologies, and they reconciled in crafting and executing this conspiracy because the ideas advocated by leader Abdullah Ocalan are characterized by peace and love.”

Al-Sayel also called on the international community and its institutions to end the system of extermination and torture imposed on leader Abdullah Ocalan and to secure his immediate release.

For her part, Latifa Al-Hassan, co-chair of the Syrian Revolutionary Youth Movement in Raqqa, stated that leader Abdullah Ocalan has thwarted every thread of the conspiracy with his unparalleled resistance, pointing out that his ideas have spread worldwide and become a central topic of discussion among the youth of the Middle East and the world, which in itself indicates the failure of the conspiracy.

Latifa Al-Hassan pledged, on behalf of the revolutionary youth, to continue the resistance “until the last drop of our blood, and we will train ourselves on the leader’s thoughts and be the fire that will burn the fascist Turkish state and all the countries that participated in the international conspiracy.”

Meanwhile, Khawla Al-Eissa, spokesperson for the Zenobia Women’s Gathering, renewed the pledge to the martyrs and leader Abdullah Ocalan to crown their sacrifices and resistance with a victorious achievement and to achieve the physical freedom of leader Abdullah Ocalan.

She further emphasized that this massive popular march is a testament to the unwavering belief in the leader's thought and struggle, stating, “The struggle of women for the physical freedom of leader Abdullah Ocalan continues, as this struggle is for the freedom of all oppressed peoples and for a better future for all.”

The speech event concluded with performances by the Hilal Zerin Women’s Culture Movement, which featured several artistic performances calling for the achievement of the leader’s physical freedom.
