TEV-DEM's Hesso: Best solution to protect Yazidis is enhancing social system

The speech of the Co-chair of the Democratic Society Movement TEV-DEM, Gharib Hesso, came during the sixth conference of the Yazidi House in al-Jazera Canton.

He said: “When we talk about the Yazidi community, we remember the pain, the tragedy, and the massacres, because this community was subjected to a lot of pain, but this community protected itself from extermination."

Hesso pointed out that Leader Abdullah Ocalan spoke a lot about the Yazidi community and had many evaluations about it. “No one heard the sufferings of the Yazidi community in history. No one provided them with assistance except Leader Abdullah Ocalan and the Kurdistan Freedom Movement, and they considered protecting this community a responsibility and a historical, moral, and humanitarian task.”

Hesso added that “Today they are organizing themselves within a great humanitarian revolution, within the framework of building a contemporary, historic, intellectual democratic system presented by the leader Abdullah Ocalan."

Hesso noted that many parties are still aiming to weaken the will of the Yazidi community, referring to what is being plotted against the Yazidis in the Shingal district, stressing that the existence of the Yazidi community is still threatened. “Yes, the Yazidi genocide was accepted by several countries, but ISIS and its allies have not been held accountable for their actions.” "The countries that supporte ISIS were not held accountable, especially Turkey."
