Tens of thousands of Qamishlo residents salute Imrali resistance

Tens of thousands of residents of Qamishlo took to the streets to condemn the international conspiracy that had targeted the leader Abdullah Ocalan. The streets were adorned with the leader's pictures, and the participants gathered at Osman Sabri Square before marching towards The Martyrs' Square in the city center.

The demonstrators carried banners with "The January 6th attack on Rojava is the second conspiracy of February 15th" written on, chanting slogans "No life without the leader" and "Resistance is life."

At Martyrs' Square, the march transformed into a massive public rally, beginning with holding a minute of silence in honor of the martyrs.

The co-chair of the Democratic Society Movement (TEV-DEM), Ramziye Mohamed, delivered a speech in which she greeted the Kurdish people and their friends present in the squares, saying, "Twenty-seven years have passed, and the international conspiracy against the Kurdish people has been being repeated once again. History repeats itself, but we must change this history, turning it into a history of the leader Abdullah Ocalan's freedom."

She added, "The conspiracy, which aimed to eliminate the people and leader Apo, has lasted for 27 years, yet the Kurdish people and their friends continue their daily struggle for the leader, and the bond between the leader and the people has grown stronger."

She continued, "In Rojava, the Kurds and other peoples managed to govern and protect themselves, but the nation-states that had a hand in the February 15th conspiracy could not tolerate this, so they launched a new conspiracy against the people of Rojava and North and East Syria. Just as the international conspiracy was thwarted by the leader's ideology, just as our youth defended this land against ISIS terrorism, and just as the people are rising up today in all four parts of Kurdistan and Europe, we will continue this resistance and protect the path of freedom and peace for all peoples that the leader has laid out for us."

The march concluded with the participants chanting the anthem 'Çerxa Şoreşê,' The Revolution Acceleration."
