The General Company for Drinking Water and Sewerage in Hasakah Governorate announced the temporary suspension of operations at the Allouk water station due to a technical fault affecting the power line supplying the station from the Darbasiyah power station, resulting in the interruption of the electricity supply needed to operate it.

In a statement, the company said maintenance teams affiliated with the General Electricity Company of Hasakah had begun work to repair the fault and restore the line to service as soon as possible.

It noted that efforts are ongoing to address the problem and ensure a stable electricity supply to the station.

The company confirmed that the Allouk water station would resume operations once maintenance work is completed and power is restored, and called on residents to understand the emergency circumstances caused by the technical fault.

Large areas of Hasakah rely on water pumped by the Allouk station, making the continuity of its operations vital to meeting residents’ drinking-water needs.
