Tel Tamer fires successfully contained after burning large areas of agricultural lands

The emergency teams have succeeded in controlling the fires that erupted in the western countryside of Tel Tamer, and these fires caused huge damage to the agricultural lands. The fires, which were started by the occupation forces in Laylan and al-Arisha, in the western countryside of Tel Tamer, nearly burned down the village of al-Tawiliyah before being controlled.

Following many hours of suffering due to the huge losses inflicted by the fires that engulfed the western countryside of Tel Tamer, emergency teams were able to control the fires that swept large areas of agricultural lands.

The fires were set afire by the two Turkish bases based in the villages of Laylan and al-Arisha, which were under occupation. Fueled by strong winds, the fire spread to wide areas in the western countryside, destroying crops and people’s personal properties in the process.

The fires even reached the village of al-Tawiliyah, which experienced total devastation with the burning down of many houses and loss of many livelihood resources.

With the fires spreading, the emergency crews in Tel Tamer called a state of maximum alert, while the firefighters and civilians worked hard to try to stop the fire and keep it from spreading to other villages. Firefighters were sent from the cities of al-Hasakah and Ad-Darbasiyah to help control the fires in the affected regions.

After hours of work, the emergency teams succeeded in containing and controlling the fires. Cooling operations and monitoring of the affected sites are ongoing to prevent reignition. Initial estimates indicate that the fires caused damage to residential properties, further exacerbating the already difficult living conditions for residents in the region.
