Dozens of teachers from the northern Aleppo countryside occupied by Turkey and its mercenaries held a protest today in Saadallah al-Jaberi Square in the center of Aleppo, demanding the payment of their salaries, which have been suspended for more than three months, and the absence of a clear institutional approach to the education sector.

The protesters raised banners and chanted slogans reflecting their suffering, emphasizing that the deprivation of hundreds of teaching staff from their primary source of income has negatively impacted their living conditions, in light of the ongoing high prices and the collapse of the Syrian pound.

The teachers called on the responsible authorities to expedite the retroactive payment of delayed salaries and to work to ensure the stability of the educational process. They emphasized their continued protests until their legitimate demands are met.

This protest is an extension of similar protests witnessed in cities and towns in the occupied northern and eastern Aleppo countryside, including Mare', Azaz, Jarabulus, Akhtarin, al-Rai, al-Bab, Bza'a, and Soran. Teachers denounced the neglect of their rights, holding the Ministry of Education of the transitional government responsible for the deterioration of the education sector.

Participants emphasized that the continued disregard for their demands threatens the future of thousands of students and undermines the educational process in the region.
