The Revolutionary Court in Sana, East Kurdistan, sentenced Mardiya Morad Feisi, a dismissed teacher and former political prisoner, to a two-year suspended prison sentence and a fine of four million tomans, according to the Women's News Agency  NUJINHA .

Iranian authorities continue to intensify their judicial and security crackdown against activists and dissidents, amid escalating international condemnations and calls from human rights organizations to halt unfair trials and guarantee freedom of expression, given the absence of fair trial conditions within the country's revolutionary courts.

Mardiya Morad Feisi had been repeatedly arrested and prosecuted for her stances and civic activities; she was arrested in 2021, and in 2022 she was given an initial sentence of two years in prison, before the Court of Appeal reduced it to five months in prison and four years suspended.
