The march started from in front of the first neighborhood market located at the entrance to Tabqa city, where the participants raised pictures of Leader Abdullah Ocalan, in addition to banners that read "We will make the black day a day of freedom for Leader Apo" and "Freedom of Leader Apo is the freedom of the struggling peoples."

The participants chanted "The people want freedom for Leader Ocalan" and "Long live the Imrali resistance."

Upon the participants' arrival at Al-Hadiri roundabout in Tabqa city, everyone stood for a minute of silence in honor of the souls of the martyrs. Then, Riyad Al-Wali, a member of the Syrian Initiative for the Freedom of Leader Abdullah Ocalan in Tabqa canton, gave a speech in which he said: "Here are the people of the Euphrates city who came out to say with one voice: No to the Turkish occupation, no to the international conspiracy against Leader Abdullah Ocalan."

Al-Wali continued by saying: "62 years have passed and the leader of humanity is in Imrali prison. All capitalist countries conspired against the leader of humanity Abdullah Ocalan; because his thought and philosophy do not serve capitalism, as he emphasizes the brotherhood of peoples, justice and equality for all segments of society. 26 years have passed since February 15, the black day for all the people of the cantons of North and East Syria and the whole world, but this year will be the year of peace and love, because the project of the international and humanitarian leader Abdullah Ocalan is the most appropriate solution to the issue of the Middle East and the whole world."

The march ended with the participants forming dabke circles, amid chants of "No life without the leader."
