The Syrian Women's Council organized a dialogue session in the city of Tartous entitled: "The role of women in building Syria and participating in drafting the constitution." In the presence of a group of women activists, human rights activists, representatives of civil organizations, and representatives of the Sindyan Association, the Children of Love Association, and the Kon Foundation, representing various Syrian segments.

Rehab Ibrahim, member of the Syrian Women’s Council Coordinator, spoke during the dialogue session and confirmed that the region is going through a new phase, especially Syria after the fall of the previous regime.

Rehab Ibrahim confirmed that women were able, during the past period, to achieve great strides, which contributed to maintaining their presence in the new Syria.

The human rights activist and administrator of the Council of the Children of Love Association, Reem Othman, highlighted an important point during the session, which is the role of women across the Syrian constitutions from 1950 to 2012, as they did not enjoy their rights within those constitutions.

The director of the Sindyan Association Council, Suhad Ali, also highlighted the role of women in building Syria, the challenges they face, in addition to possible solutions.

A documentary film was also shown about the work of the Syrian Women's Council since its founding and its role in uniting women in various Syrian governorates.

The session concluded by presenting opinions and proposals, and developing action plans for women in the new phase, emphasizing the need for them to strive to ensure their presence in all aspects of the new administration and not to exclude them from any process that Syria is going through.
