According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, "Public Security" forces affiliated with the transitional government in Syria intervened to forcibly disperse the sit-in. Security personnel assaulted several participants, including women, with physical beatings and verbal insults, sparking fear and tension in the area.

This action comes amid escalating popular and human rights demands for transparency regarding the fate of thousands of detainees in Syrian prisons, ensuring fair trials, and halting the repeated violations against their families.
