Syrian National Democratic Alliance Party calls for implementation of March 10 agreement

The Syrian National Democratic Alliance Party issued a statement expressing deep concern over the unfortunate events that took place in Aleppo, particularly the tension and clashes yesterday in the Sheikh Maqsoud and al-Ashrafieh neighborhoods, between internal security forces in the two districts and factions affiliated with the Ministry of Defense in the Syrian transitional government.

The statement extended condolences to the families of the victims and wished a speedy recovery for the injured, emphasizing that political and non-political disputes must be resolved through peaceful negotiation.

It reaffirmed its rejection of all foreign interference in Syrian affairs, stressing that Syrians are capable of addressing their own issues independently.

The statement called for the implementation of the March 10 Agreement with flexibility and responsibility, noting that it represents a realistic roadmap for resolving outstanding issues and reducing tension.

The party rejected the phenomenon known as “quick mobilizations” and armed reactions due to the direct threat they pose to civil peace, calling for the exclusive control of weapons by authorized authorities, regulation of uncontrolled arms, and the prevention of the use of heavy weapons in populated areas.

The statement confirmed the readiness of the Syrian National Democratic Alliance Party, through its political and social cadres, to play any reconciliatory role that contributes to ending tension in Aleppo and fostering coexistence, based on the March 10 Agreement and related agreements.

It called for the building of a secure state through the efforts of all Syrians, regardless of their backgrounds, suitable for a dignified life for future generations.
