In a statement released today, the Syrian Future Party warned against serving the projects of regional powers and stressed that national interests should take precedence over any other considerations.

The party's statement pointed out that recent developments in the Middle East, including escalating political positions and increasing mutual threats among regional powers, are signaling the potential for a devastating war. International diplomacy is attempting to defuse the crisis and prevent the Middle East from descending into military confrontations, which would create a fertile ground for extremist organizations and armed groups to regain strength and resume their terrorist activities, exploiting the chaos and security vacuum. ISIS is expected to be among the primary groups to exploit the resulting situation.

The party also noted that these developments are in line with recent attacks in Deir ez-Zor by armed groups affiliated with the Syrian regime. These actions represent a transparent attempt by the regime's supporters to drag the region into a comprehensive conflict, diverting the Syrian Democratic Forces and security forces in NE Syria from their crucial role in maintaining security and stability in the region.

The Syrian Future Party condemned these dangerous schemes, denouncing the Syrian regime and its backers for their attempt to exploit regional events and create discord among local tribes and components, thus serving the goals of regional powers at the expense of Syrian lives.

The party reiterated its call for all Syrian forces and parties to prioritize the Syrian national interest and not allow Syria to remain a battleground for regional power struggles, as this would exacerbate the suffering of the Syrian people and country, with the consequences of the Syrian crisis and the resulting tragedies continuing without a political resolution in sight.
