Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Asaad Hassan Al-Shaibani stated via social media that Syria—with the presence and support of over 40 nations worldwide—had affirmed before the UN Security Council its rejection of the violation of its sovereignty and the entry of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu into its territory.

Al-Shaibani added that Syria reiterated its commitment to national unity, independent decision-making, and territorial integrity, while commending the swift international response supporting Syria in the face of ongoing Israeli violations.

He noted that this stance underscores the principle that respect for state independence and territorial integrity is a fundamental tenet of the international order.

Al-Shaibani affirmed that Syria would continue its political and diplomatic course—grounded in the provisions of international law and the UN Charter—to defend its national rights through legitimate political and diplomatic means.

He emphasized that Syria’s security, stability, and territorial integrity serve the shared interests of both the Syrian people and the international community, pledging continued efforts to consolidate stability and uphold respect for the rules of international law.
