Syria is witnessing unprecedented developments after the fall of the Baathist regime on December 8, 2024, as the country has entered a new phase in which the Damascus authority seeks to impose its vision on the country amidst the exclusion of the various Syrian components, at a time when security challenges and regional conflicts continue to cast their shadows on the country's future.

In light of these changes, efforts continue to find a new system of government that reflects the aspirations of Syrians towards a pluralistic, decentralized democratic state. In this context, the DAA project has emerged as a successful model in North and East Syria capable of rebuilding a unified Syria based on the foundations of democracy and equal citizenship.

In this context, the member of the General Council of the Future Syria Party, Ahmed al-Sultan, who hails from the city of al-Shaddadi in al-Jazira canton, pointed out that events are happening quickly in Syria, and said that the Syrian people hope that the Damascus authorities will make constructive decisions that serve the interests of all components and spectrums of the Syrian people, away from the exclusion that it is currently practicing.

Al-Sultan stressed the importance of issuing clear decisions regarding a ceasefire in all Syrian territories, and the necessity of stopping conflicts in Syria, in addition to resolving internal and external differences to ensure lasting stability in the country.

Al-Sultan added, saying: "The bombing on the Tishreen Dam axis must stop, and the authorities in Damascus must take a decisive stance towards this issue to prevent the continuation of military escalation in the region."

He also stressed the importance of ensuring the rights of all Syrian components, stressing that Syria must be a homeland for all its people without discrimination or exclusion.

Call for a democratic, pluralistic, decentralized Syria

For his part, the Director of Relations at the Future Syria Party in al-Shaddadi, Dr. Saleh al-Zubaa, pointed out that the Syrians got rid of the tyrannical regime that ruled Syria for more than 54 years.

Al-Zubaa added: "We in the Future Syria Party participate with our people in building a democratic, pluralistic, decentralized Syria, and we support the drafting of a new constitution that reflects the aspirations of the Syrian people towards a modern and advanced administration."

He stressed that the DAA project in North and East Syria represents a successful experience on the national level, as it has proven its ability to manage the affairs of the region according to the principles of democracy and equality among all components.

Al-Zubaa concluded his speech by saying that the DAA project rejects division and fragmentation, and emphasizes that Syria must remain geographically one, with a joint struggle for all Syrians from north to south, and from east to west.
