Syria Future Party mourns activist Salih Muslim

The Syria Future Party issued a statement mourning Salih Muslim, a member of the Presidential Council of the Democratic Union Party (PYD).

The message stated:

“With deep sorrow and grief, we received the news of the passing of comrade Salih Muslim, a member of the Presidential Council of the Democratic Union Party. On this painful occasion, the Syria Future Party extends its heartfelt condolences to you, to the family of the martyr, and to all his comrades, wishing you patience and solace.

We knew comrade Salih Muslim in the arenas of struggle, where he was among the most prominent defenders of the just cause of his Kurdish people and of the Syrian people’s cause to achieve freedom and democracy. Thus, Syria in general, and the Kurdish people in particular, have lost one of the most prominent defenders of their existence and cause.

The loss of the martyr Salih Muslim is a great loss for all of us.

Martyr Salih Muslim struggled in many Kurdish, local, regional, and international arenas with sincere conviction and commitment to the justice of his cause and the causes of peoples yearning for freedom. Despite facing arrest and persecution, he never retreated from the principles he believed in and played a fundamental role in the struggle of the Kurdish people.

The martyr Salih Muslim passed away at this sensitive and difficult stage in the history of the Kurdish people. His passing constitutes a great loss for the Kurdish people and for all national forces that believe in justice and democracy.

Once again, we extend our condolences to you, to the family of the deceased, and to the Kurdish people as a whole.”
