Submitting a new request to meet Imrali detainees

Lawyers for leader Abdullah Ocalan and the other Imrali detainees submitted a new request to the Turkish authorities to meet with them.

Lawyers of the Al-Asr Human Rights Office, Ibrahim Bilmez, Razia Ozturk, Imran Emekji, and Cengiz Yurkli, submitted a new request to the Republican Public Prosecutor’s Office in Bursa and the Imrali Prison Directorate to meet with their client, Commander Abdullah Ocalan, who has been subjected to strict isolation, and no information has been received about him for 3 years.

The lawyers submitted a request to the Republican Public Prosecutor and the Imrali Prison Directorate to meet with other detainees in Imrali. Omer Khayri Kunar, Hamili Yildirim, and Veysi Aktaş.

Despite the daily events and activities denouncing the isolation and demanding his freedom, and the media shedding light on the Turkish state’s violations of international human rights laws and norms, especially those related to political detainees, the authorities continue to prevent the relatives and lawyers of Leader Abdullah Ocalan from meeting with him.
