"The Imrali delegation from the Peoples' Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Partî) held an important meeting with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, during which we discussed current events in our region, their impact on Turkey, the peace process, and a democratic society.

During the meeting, the shared will and determination to continue the process were reaffirmed. It was declared that, in order to take concrete and credible steps in this process, it is essential for Parliament, relevant ministries, and public institutions to intensify their efforts. In this context, the importance of the Democracy, Fraternity, and National Solidarity Commission preparing its report in a comprehensive manner was emphasized, to provide a solid foundation for the cause of democracy and freedom. The necessity of preparing a legal framework that includes all segments of society and is based on Turkey's democratic future, through broad consensus and without delay, was also stressed.

This meeting was held at a time of significant regional and international political events. We reaffirm our belief that this meeting will contribute to peaceful coexistence among the peoples of Turkey and the region, and we thank the President for his warm welcome.”
