Start of final exams for school year in Raqqa, Deir ez-Zor
The final exams for the 2025 school year began this morning in the schools of Raqqa and Deir ez-Zor, covering elementary, preparatory, and secondary levels.
Thousands of students in Raqqa and Deir ez-Zor Cantons took the final exams for the 2024–2025 school year today.
The number of students in Raqqa is 95,324, while in Deir ez-Zor, there are 260,000 students across all educational levels.
Abdul Rahman Al-Ahmad, a member of the Guidance Office in the Educational Office of Raqqa city, explained that exams are held periodically throughout the year. Students take three exams, and the final grade is calculated based on the average of these exams. Today marks the beginning of the final exam for all levels.
He also noted that the exam questions are not standardized across the cantons but are independently prepared within each school.
The Education Body of the Autonomous Administration is supervising the organization of these exams, with field visits conducted by inspection committees to ensure the educational process proceeds as required.
