SPC, HKN Energy delegation inspects Rmelan facilities

A delegation from the Syrian Petroleum Company (SPC), accompanied by a delegation from HKN Energy, conducted a field tour of the Rmelan and Tal Adas–Karzero fields, as well as the Sweidiya Gas Plant, following the announcement of a 25-year cooperation agreement between the two sides.

The delegation from the SPC, headed by CEO Youssef Qablawi, along with representatives from HKN Energy, visited the Rmelan and Tal Adas–Karzero fields and the Sweidiya Gas Plant to assess operations and production conditions in the oil and gas sectors.

The visit came after a press conference held in Rumelan, where the delegation inspected several oil fields and oil processing units, in addition to the Tal Adas–Karzero field and the Sweidiya Gas Plant. The delegation reviewed technical and production operations and the mechanisms for running the facilities.

The delegation also received briefings from specialists on field and facility operations, oil and gas processing stages, maintenance and operation work, as well as efforts to ensure continued production, improve efficiency, and enhance the readiness of oil and gas infrastructure.

During the press conference, the SPC announced the signing of a 25-year cooperation agreement with HKN Energy aimed at increasing oil production and rehabilitating Rmelan’s oil fields, wells, and facilities.
