Shooting down of drones proved power of People's Defense Forces

On March 20, the Central Command of the People's Defense Forces announced the news of Newroz and reported that it possessed the technology to shoot down drones, revealing that 15 Turkish occupation drones had been shot down.

Newroz Muslim, the member of the General Council of the Democratic Union Party (PYD), explained: “Several days ago, the People’s Defense Forces brought good news to our people. It was not only for the Kurdish people, but for all the peoples of the region and the Middle East, because these drones target prominent and active figures in society, and infrastructure and oil installations.”

Muslim stressed: “ The People's Defense Forces defend and fight for us and for the people of the region, so this good news proves the strength of the People's Defense Forces in this difficult stage.”

Advisor to the Executive Council of Raqqa, Adnan Hamad confirmed: “The good news for the oppressed Dogan and the Guerrilla forces, and for all our people in NE Syria, and it proved the extent of the strength of the People’s Defense Forces."

The co-presidency of the Executive Council in Raqqa Hevin Ismail confirmed: “The message of the People's Defense Forces is good news for all the peoples of the world, and it has proven that the People’s Defense Forces have the ability and power to shoot down Turkish drones that are targeting our safe areas.”

Ismail noted: “This good news has proven that we can liberate the occupied areas, Tal Abyad, Ras al-Ain, and Afrin, which are still suffering from the crimes of Erdogan’s mercenaries. By shooting down these planes, we can say that we can confront the Turkish occupier and its mercenaries.”
