Shikaki: appreciation of leader Ocalan by Kurdish people

History researcher Abdullah Shikaki spoke to ANHA agency about the severe isolation to which leader Abdullah Ocalan is exposed and the global campaign under the slogan “Freedom for Abdullah Ocalan, the political solution to the Kurdish issue.”

Abdullah Shikaki mentioned that previously, when the occupying Turkish state arrested or killed the leader of a Kurdish uprising, that uprising would be eliminated, and he said: “They said that this is the twenty-eighth uprising and we will defeat it by arresting Ocalan. For the conspiracy, this was like a wedding for them, so they said that their movement It failed and nothing remained of it. But during the interrogations, trials and sending of pleadings, a new revolution occurred. The Turkish government was saying that "Ocalan sends messages to his people, not to the court."

Regarding the goals of the conspiring forces in imposing isolation, Shikaki said: “They want to put Ocalan’s ideas in prison and stifle them, so they impose isolation on him and seek to prevent his ideas from spreading. In the past 25 years, the conspirators believed that the people would separate from Ocalan, but that did not happen.” "These activities confirm that our people stand by their leader. In the history of Kurdistan, something like this has rarely happened, it is almost non-existent."

Shikaki continued his speech by saying: “In the past, the concept of democracy was simple and did not have any meaning, but now it has begun to be applied. All of these ideas were achieved through the ideas of Leader Ocalan. We know that there was a conflict between the components in this region, and now it has faded.” That matter mixed their blood, and thus the brotherhood of peoples was practically born.”

Abdullah Shikaki said that the more the people get to know the ideas of Leader Abdullah Ocalan, read them, think about them and apply them, all plans against the people will fail. He continued his speech by saying: "Every Kurd must ask himself this question: 'What did I do today for my country?' “As much as we implement Leader Ocalan’s ideas, we give freedom to our leader.”

Abdullah Shikaki spoke about the spread of the ideas of leader Abdullah Ocalan and their influence: “Foreign writers wrote about Ocalan more than Kurdish writers. Revolutionaries from all parts of Kurdistan joined the freedom movement, and this is evidence of loyalty. What the leader presented is sacred, and must be given great value.”
