Sheikhs and notables condemn Turkish occupation attacks  and confirm their support for SDF

In a position that embodies the spirit of national unity and adherence to Syrian national constants, the sheikhs and notables of the Arab and Kurdish tribes in the city of Tal Brak in Al-Jazira Canton, today, Thursday, made a statement to public opinion, expressing their rejection of the attacks of the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries on the NE Syria.

The statement was read by the representative of the Jabour Arab Tribe Council, Ahmed Al-Huwaider, in front of the Internal Security Forces center in the city, in the presence of a remarkable presence of sheikhs and notables of the region, in addition to members of political parties and representatives of the local community.

The text of the statement read: “We, the sheikhs and notables of the city of Tal Brak, condemn and denounce the Turkish attacks and its mercenaries on the components of the peoples of the region, especially NE Syria. The Turkish state took advantage of the fall of the former regime and its withdrawal from the cities and Cantons, so it instructed its administration to expand, and to plunder the institutions and weapons of the collapsed army, and seizing the state’s capabilities in northern, central and southern Syria.”

Support for the Syrian Democratic Forces and the Syrian-Syrian dialogue

The statement affirmed the support of the notables and sheikhs of Tal Brak for the Syrian Democratic Forces, stressing their role in protecting the region’s gains and maintaining its security, saying: “We are the notables and sheikhs of the Tal Brak, as we congratulate the Syrian people for their victory over the tyrants, we affirm the unity of Syria’s territory, and we stand behind the Syrian Democratic Forces. We also call for Syrian-Syrian dialogue that saves blood, preserves honor, and preserves the soil. We stand as a defender of land and honor, and we do not allow insults, attacks and bloodshed."
