The security campaign, launched by the Internal Security Forces – Women of North and East Syria with the support of the Women’s Protection Units (YPJ), continues for the third consecutive day against ISIS sleeper cells in Roj Camp.

The campaign began on Saturday, April 5, with the aim of pursuing ISIS sleeper cells and reducing security threats that seek to destabilize the camp and spread chaos.

Members of the Internal Security Forces – Women continue to carry out extensive inspections inside the camp as part of ongoing efforts to enhance security, protect residents, and confiscate equipment used to train children in weapon use.

This step is part of a series of security measures taken by the Internal Security Forces of North and East Syria to confront potential threats, especially after previous infiltration attempts and murders within the camp.

The forces have managed to arrest seven collaborators with ISIS cells inside the camp, in addition to seizing mobile phones, equipment, and locations designated for training children in extremist ideologies.

Roj Camp is located about 10 km west of the city of Dêrik in Jazera Canton of the North and East Syria. It houses 783 families of ISIS mercenaries, including 28 Iraqi families, 15 Syrian families, while the rest belong to various foreign nationalities.
