Yesterday, the Damascus authorities released 21 people from the city of Swuyda who participated in the "Tamasak" conference. They were arrested in Homs on Saturday without knowing the charges against them, a scene reminiscent of the practices of the security forces of the former regime.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that "21 men and women, members of the National Democratic Belonging Party, active in Swuyda Governorate, were released 17 hours after being detained by General Security yesterday, Saturday, at a checkpoint in the Homs countryside. They were on their way to Raqqa Governorate to attend an event organized by the Autonomous Administration in NE Syria."

The SOHR confirmed that "the detainees, including the party leader, were released on bail." It also referred to "a video showing one of the detainees speaking about being tortured, with severe bruises on his back and shoulder."

According to the Observatory, those released participated in a " Tamasak" conference held on March 22 in the capital, Damascus. "Ayham was arrested while heading to Raqqa to participate in another event. They were taken to a security branch, without any official charges being made, amidst uncertainty surrounding their fate."

It's worth noting that a press conference was held in the Syrian capital, Damascus, with the participation of a group of political parties and civil society groups, including the Syrian Democratic Council. During the conference, the establishment of the "Syrian Equal Citizenship Alliance," which introduced itself as "Tamasuk," was announced.
