In a statement to ANHA agency, Shakir Arab, the commander in the SDF, discussed recent developments on the battlefronts with the mercenaries of the Turkish occupation in the countryside of Manbij and the Qaraqozak Bridge area south of Kobani.

"For 20 days, the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries have been trying to take control of Tishreen Dam and Qaraqozak Bridge. However, our forces have managed to thwart all their attempts despite the Turkish occupation’s artillery, air, and military equipment support provided to the mercenaries," Shakir Arab said.

The Tishreen Dam region and the Qaraqozak Bridge area in the countryside of Manbij and Kobani have been witnessing continuous attacks by the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries. On the other side, the SDF, with its various military formations, has been actively countering these offensives.

"Our fighters have demonstrated remarkable resistance and managed to repel the mercenaries, inflicting heavy losses in lives and military equipment. Our forces have eliminated over 450 mercenaries and destroyed dozens of tanks and military vehicles," Shakir Arab added.

He added that in response to the repeated mercenary attacks, the SDF advanced in the southeastern countryside of Manbij, reaching within 14 kilometers of the city center.

The leader Shakir Arab highlighted the significant sacrifices made by the SDF to prevent the mercenaries from advancing and occupying the area. He paid tribute to their martyred fighters and emphasized their readiness to make further sacrifices to protect the peoples of the region.
