SDF's Khalil calls on international forces to assume duties towards NE Syria

The call from the member of the General Command of the Syrian Democratic Forces, Luqman Khalil, came in a speech to the SDF during the celebration organized in the Al-Omar field in the countryside of Deir ez-Zor on the occasion of the 5th anniversary of the liberation of the town of al-Baghouz and the elimination of ISIS in  NE Syria.

Khalil explained at the beginning of his speech that the Syrian Democratic Forces maintained the security and stability of NE Syria."

Khalil pointed to the ongoing imminent danger facing the regions of NE Syria: “The danger of ISIS still exists. It is true that we defeated it geographically, but the threats are still continuing through its cells, as well as the Turkish attacks contribute to the revival of ISIS.”

He stressed: "The Syrian Democratic Forces will perform their duty and responsibility, regardless of the circumstances and difficulties they face, as support we will receive from our people will be sufficient and comprehensive."

Khalil saluted the peoples of NE Syrian region, regardless of their components, for the great sacrifices they made in order to liberate the region from ISIS, especially the great sacrifices made by the people of Deir ez-Zor.

Khalil called on the international forces to shoulder their responsibilities to end the threat of ISIS, stressing the need to prosecute ISIS, we say once again that ISIS still poses a danger, that is why the international powers must solve this dilemma.

Luqman Khalil praised the popular rally around the Syrian Democratic Forces, sending a clear and frank message to all parties that have recently worked to spread strife and division, and said: “Today a message will reach everyone, that the components of NE are united and cohesive.”
