SDF refutes “Transitional Govt. Defense” claims, reveals truth

The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) denied targeting a military point belonging to the Transitional Government in Syria near the Tishrin Dam, clarifying that the incident resulted from mines belonging to the government forces themselves.

The Transitional Government’s news Agency in Syria had reported, quoting a source in the Ministry of Defense, that “two soldiers were killed and a third injured due to an attack by the Syrian Democratic Forces near Tishrin Dam in Aleppo countryside.”

In response, the SDF issued a statement firmly denying the report, confirming that its forces did not carry out any attack in the mentioned area.

The statement explained: “According to available field data, the incident occurred due to mine explosions around the military point belonging to the Damascus government and has no connection to our forces.”

The SDF also emphasized its commitment to avoiding escalation, maintaining stability in contact areas, and continuing national efforts to address threats to the safety and security of all communities.

Finally, the SDF urged the media to ensure accuracy, rely on trustworthy sources, and avoid spreading inaccurate narratives that could escalate tensions or mislead the public.
