SDF Media Center stated, "Today, our SDF’s Military Operations Teams (TOL) conducted a precise security operation with the support of the International Coalition Forces. The operation targeted a terrorist SIS cell operating inside Raqqa."

The Center added," Our forces raided the place and succeeded in capturing the cell leader “the emir,” Abdul Eid (alias “Abu Zahra”), along with four other terrorists:

Hussein Muhammad (aka “Abu Moaz”)

Abdul Yusuf (aka “Abu Hadi”)

Jasim Saleh (aka “Shamri”)

Hamad al-Khalaf (aka “Osama” and “Abu Omar”)

The cell had been actively receiving ISIS operatives from abroad and distributing them among various ISIS cells. It was also working to secure weapons, explosives, and logistical support in preparation for a planned attack on the Raqqa prison, which houses numerous ISIS detainees. However, the dismantling of the terrorist cell has successfully thwarted this imminent threat.

The Center concluded, "Our forces reaffirm their unwavering commitment to continuing security and military operations aimed at dismantling the foundations of the terrorist organization and eliminating its material and ideological resource."
