The SDF Media Center reported that its forces are currently engaged in fierce clashes with mercenaries of the Syrian Interim Government in the Thawra oil field area south of Tabqa.

The attack came after a breach of the signed agreement, even though the area was outside the scope of the agreement, as confirmed by the SDF.

The center noted that this escalation comes as a continuation of previous violations, as the Syrian Democratic Forces had previously announced in a statement the outbreak of clashes in the village of Dibsi Afnan as a result of the Damascus government's violation of the agreement, confirming at the time their use of their legitimate right to self-defense and to end the threat.
