The event was held under the slogan: "Just as we defeated terrorism in Baghouz, we will continue our struggle to build a decentralized, pluralistic Syria."

The commemoration took place at the Al-Omar oil field in Deir ez-Zor and was attended by senior SDF commanders, members of the Deir ez-Zor Military Council, tribal elders, representatives of the Autonomous Administration, and a delegation from the International Coalition.

The venue was adorned with images of SDF martyrs, banners, and slogans reaffirming the commitment to the ongoing struggle for a free and pluralistic Syria.

The event commenced with a moment of silence in honor of martyrs, followed by a military ceremony. Several speeches were delivered, highlighting the sacrifices made in the fight against terrorism.

Speaking at the event, Luqman Khalil, the member of the SDF General Command, expressed pride in the victory achieved through the sacrifices of the martyrs. He emphasized the need for international cooperation to bolster security in Syria and address the ongoing threat posed by terrorist organizations. He called upon global powers to assume their responsibilities in supporting efforts to stabilize the region.

Khalil further underscored that the issue of ISIS remnants remains a serious threat, necessitating genuine international collaboration to eradicate terrorism once and for all and ensure lasting security and peace.

Sheikh Ammar Al-Hadawi, the leader of the Al-Bujamil tribe, stressed the importance of decentralization in Syria as a means to achieve justice and freedom. He called for national unity and resistance against any attempts to divide the country.

While Falik Othman, the Co-Chair of the Council of Martyrs’ Families, reiterated the commitment to safeguarding the achievements secured through sacrifice. She urged continued efforts toward peace and stability.

Nuri Khalil, the senior commander in the Deir ez-Zor Military Council, affirmed the determination of SDF forces to track down ISIS sleeper cells and protect the region.

Speaking on behalf of the Zanoubia Women’s Gathering in Deir ez-Zor, Khitam Al-Saleh stated: "On this anniversary of the liberation of Baghouz, we celebrate a historic victory that embodies our ongoing struggle. Our people have endured oppression and suffering for many years, but through unity and resilience, we have achieved this great triumph.
