SDF announces the killing of “ISIS” leader in a security operation in Raqqa

The Media Center of the Syrian Democratic Forces stated that the Anti-Terrorism Units (YAT) of its forces carried out, last Saturday, a precise security operation targeting one of the financing officials for ISIS mercenary cells in the center of Raqqa city.

The Syrian Democratic Forces confirmed that the operation took place with the support and participation of the International Coalition Forces, “as our forces raided the location of the terrorist “Samir Khader Sharif Al-Shehan,” an Iraqi national. After besieging the place, our forces called on him to surrender, but he refused and began to resist and shoot at him. Our forces, which necessitated a reciprocal response, and our forces were able to eliminate him immediately.”

During the operation, the forces seized quantities of weapons and equipment:

1 – Smartphones /8/.

2 - Personal documents and identification.

3 – WI-FI device number /1/.

4 – Pistol number /1/.

5 – Pistol magazines number /3/.

6 – Cameras number /1/.

7 – A number of digital wallets.

8 - Amount of money “US dollars”.

The Syrian Democratic Forces also affirmed that they will not hesitate in their struggle “against the cells of the terrorist organization ISIS, and will work with all force to purify our regions of their terrorism and evils, and preserve the security and safety of our people.”
