SDF: 71 people, including ISIS cells, arrested in Ain Issa countryside

The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) Media Center issued a statement today regarding the results of a joint security campaign with the Internal Security Forces (ISF) targeting ISIS mercenary cells and criminal gangs in the Ain Issa countryside. The statement read:

"During a large-scale and carefully planned security campaign carried out by our forces' commandos the Syrian Democratic Forces with the participation of the Operations Forces and the Counter-Terrorism (HAT) forces of the Internal Security Forces, in the town of Al-Hishah and its surroundings, east of Ain Issa, the forces succeeded in striking a significant blow against ISIS cells and criminal elements active in the area.

The operation resulted in the arrest of 71 individuals, including individuals linked to ISIS and members involved in organized crime networks that engage in robbery, theft, and drug trafficking, in addition to those involved in activities aimed at destabilizing local security and threatening the safety of civilians. The operation came This step is the result of meticulous intelligence planning and continuous field monitoring, aimed at dismantling the organizational structures of these groups.

During the operation, quantities of weapons, ammunition, and materials used to carry out acts of violence and terrorism were seized, contributing to undermining the ability of these cells to harm security and civil peace. The forces confirm that the raids on the groups' hideouts and the pursuit of their members were carried out in accordance with security operations rules and to preserve the safety of civilians.

The campaign was widely welcomed and received with great satisfaction among residents, who praised the role of the security forces and the effective cooperation between local components and the military and security forces.
