In press statements to Russian media, Russia's Commissioner for Children's Rights, Maria Belova, announced that her country had repatriated a new batch of "Russian ISIS children" from camps of NE Syria.

She pointed out that the repatriation operation was carried out in full coordination with the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, and included 32 children, who will be returned to their relatives in Russia after their rehabilitation.

Russia has repatriated a total of 546 children from ISIS families from NE Syria and other countries in the region, according to the Commissioner for Children’s Rights in Russia.

There are several camps containing thousands of families of ISIS mercenaries, from 52 foreign countries, who have joined the ranks of ISIS since 2014.

The Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria is constantly calling on countries to repatriate their nationals from the families from detention centers and camps in the region, warning of the repercussions of ignoring this issue on the region and the world.
