Rojava Kobani universities’ integration update

The Integration Committee in Rojava issued a statement to the public outlining the latest developments in the process of integrating Rojava and Kobani universities into the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The statement included:

“As part of the discussions held over the past period regarding the integration of Rojava and Kobani universities into the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, several faculties at the two universities have been approved, while a decision on the remaining faculties has been postponed for the time being until the necessary preparations and procedures are completed to ensure their continued operation.

In our commitment to clarifying the situation for our people and our dear students, we confirm that the faculties that have received approval are the officially recognized ones at the two universities at this stage. Efforts are continuing to complete the necessary preparations for opening the other faculties, ensuring the continuation of the educational process in accordance with the approved frameworks and procedures.

We also reaffirm our commitment to following up on this matter and completing the necessary procedures in the best interests of students and in a way that helps improve the educational situation in the region.

Accordingly, to ensure that our dear students can continue their studies, they should register at their respective universities in accordance with the decisions issued by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.”
