Living conditions continue to deteriorate as higher fuel prices have driven up the cost of water, bread, and transportation, in addition to declining electricity and sanitation services, further increasing the hardships faced by residents.

In this context, several citizens expressed their dissatisfaction with the poor quality of services and the rising cost of living, urging the relevant authorities to take urgent action to address the crises affecting their daily lives.

Citizen Farhan Ahmed said that residents are suffering from shortages of water and electricity, noting that the increase in fuel prices has affected various sectors and led to higher prices for bread, transportation, and water.

He added that the price of water tanker deliveries has risen significantly, increasing from 35,000 Syrian pounds in the past to between 40,000 and 75,000 Syrian pounds today. He also said that neighborhood electricity generators no longer operate for sufficient hours.

Ahmed called for better sanitation services and solutions to sewage problems, which become more severe during the summer.

For his part, citizen Walid Mohammed explained that rising fuel prices have increased transportation and water costs.

He pointed out that water tanker prices have risen sharply, electricity generator operating hours have declined, and garbage continues to accumulate in residential neighborhoods.

He said residents are demanding improvements to essential services, particularly electricity, water, sanitation, and the quality of bread.

He added that many families are forced to buy more expensive privately baked bread because of the poor quality of subsidized bread.

Meanwhile, citizen Khalil Khalil said living conditions continue to worsen as prices keep rising, with the cost of water and electricity placing an increasing financial burden on residents amid limited electricity supply and high unemployment.

He stressed that prices remain high despite the decline in the US dollar exchange rate, adding to the economic pressure on local residents.

He called for measures to improve living conditions and ease the burdens on the people.
