Residents of Northern and Eastern Syria continue to support the resistance of the Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh neighborhoods, affirming their steadfast presence at the Deir Hafer crossing despite being targeted by gunfire from mercenaries of the interim government. They emphasized that their determination remains unshaken.

A delegation heading from the North and East Syria region to Aleppo to support the residents of Sheikh Maqsoud attempted to reach one of the interim government mercenaries’ checkpoints in the city of Deir Hafer. However, the mercenaries opened heavy fire on them, coinciding with artillery shelling that struck the city of Deir Hafer and its countryside.

Citizen Khadija Milli from the city of Kobani, who was part of the delegation, said:
“The people of Ashrafieh and Sheikh Maqsoud are our people, and we will not abandon them. We will continue to defend the oppressed in the face of crime and killing. We carry a message of peace and will deliver it no matter the cost. Our people are being killed without guilt most of them women and children while they are defending their land, which is their legitimate right.”

Meanwhile, Ghalia Mohammed, one of the displaced residents of Afrin, stated:
“Have we not suffered enough displacement? This is the fourth time we have been subjected to war and forced displacement. It is not the first time that the Ashrafieh and Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhoods have been targeted; in recent times they have witnessed several attacks. These assaults are not carried out solely by mercenaries of the interim government; special units from Turkish intelligence and even foreign fighters are also involved. All of these criminals have come together to strike two neighborhoods in the city of Aleppo.”

She added:
“We came to affirm our support for the resistance of the people of Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh and the Internal Security Forces, and to say to the attackers: We are the people of Afrin, Sheikh Maqsoud, and Ashrafieh either we live with dignity, or we die on our land with dignity.”

Ayat Al-Habbal, a member of the families of martyrs from Tabqa Canton, said:
“We set out from the cantons of Northern and Eastern Syria to Deir Hafer to support this historic resistance, and we will continue to provide our support until stability and peace are achieved for all free peoples.”

Citizen Jumaa Al-Ahmad also affirmed:
“From the contact lines, we say to our people in Ashrafieh and Sheikh Maqsoud: we are with you in the same trench. You are the ones who made the history and dignity of the nation, and you are the ones shaping the future. We will triumph through the resistance of our heroes men and women alike. The blood of the martyrs will not be shed in vain; victory will be forged through our resistance.
