The Yazidi House in Jazira held a celebration marking Red Wednesday in the village of Doker in Amuda city, in the presence of administrators and members of Autonomous Administration institutions, along with representatives of political parties and the Democratic Islam Conference, as well as sheikhs and dignitaries of Arab and Kurdish tribes, in addition to wide participation from women.

During the celebration, the co-chairs of the Yazidi House, Ismail Delf and Layla Mahmoud, extended congratulations to the attendees on this occasion and expressed their happiness in commemorating it.

The co-chair of the Executive Council in Jazira, Hassan Shiro, also congratulated the Yazidi community on Red Wednesday and praised the depth of their culture and their resilience despite the attacks they have faced throughout history.

For her part, the co-chair of the Presidential Council of the Democratic Union Party (PYD), Foza Youssef, congratulated the Yazidis and all the peoples of Kurdistan on this occasion. She stressed the necessity of guaranteeing and protecting the rights of Yazidis in a future Syria, saying: “We pledge to our people to work to ensure and protect their religious rights.”

The celebration also included artistic and cultural performances, where poet Peshro Juhri recited poetry, followed by traditional dabke dances. Poets Farhad Mirdi and artists Siban Akrî and Nesrin Botan also presented poetry and musical performances amid audience engagement.
