A tribal reconciliation ceremony was held on Friday in the village of Girê Beri, in Tirbê Spiyê countryside, between cousins from the Oso family. The ceremony was attended by religious leaders, tribal elders, representatives of political parties and institutions, as well as the Democratic Islam Conference, and came seven years after a murder.

The dispute stemmed from the killing of a family member by his cousin seven years ago following a family conflict.

During the reconciliation ceremony, several speeches delivered and emphasized the importance of social cohesion and strengthening ties between the region's communities, highlighting its role in achieving security and stability, especially given the current tensions witnessed in the area.

The speakers also expressed their gratitude to the Democratic Union Party's (PYD) Relations Council, Sheikh Abdel Malik Sheikh Ibrahim Haqqi, and all those who contributed to the success of the reconciliation efforts between the two sides, stressing the importance of such initiatives in consolidating civil peace.
