Reading "Peace, Democratic Society" Manifesto to raise awareness among Youths

Members of the Young Women's Union in Aleppo began reading the "Peace and Democratic Society" Manifesto, which includes a detailed explanation of the problems facing Middle Eastern societies, along with the principles of consolidating peace and democracy.

As part of efforts to raise intellectual awareness among young people, members of the Young Women's Union in Aleppo reading the manifesto of "Peace and Democratic Society" by the leader Abdullah Ocalan on Monday.

According to the union's members, this step comes in response to the spread of hate speech and racism among some segments of Syrian society in general, and young people in particular, considering proper awareness-raising, based on consolidating peace and democracy, a sustainable solution to the issues of societal fragmentation.

The reading sessions, organized daily at 8:00 a.m. and lasting for two hours, are held at the Young Women's Union Center in Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood of Aleppo, with the participation of dozens of union members aiming to read the seven chapters of the manifesto.

The chapters of the "Peace and Democratic Society" Manifesto are, in order, (Nature and Meaning, Societal Nature and the Problem, State-Commune Duality in Historical Society, Modernity and the Three Knights of the Apocalypse, The Kurdish Truth, The Kurdish Issue and Denial, Kurdistan Worker's Party and The Resolution – From Family to Nation, Basic Visions for The Future).

Warda Al-Ahmed, the member of the Young Women's Union in Aleppo, stated to ANHA agency that consolidating the principles of peace in societies, which is a primary goal of the leader Abdullah Ocalan, begins with training the youth who represent the torch of change in the future of peoples.

She concluded by emphasizing that delving deeply into the leader Abdullah Ocalan's ideas and applying them in practice will end all wars in the region, and establish a sustainable peace based on co-existence and brotherhood among peoples. Furthermore, she called for concerted efforts to achieve the physical freedom of the leader Abdullah Ocalan.

After the leader Abdullah Ocalan launched historic call for peace and a democratic society on February 27, 2025, he published "Manifesto for Peace and Democratic Society" from Imrali Island Prison, to be a primary reference for discussions on peace, justice, democracy, and the role of women in society.
