Raqqa residents demand meeting with Leader Abdullah Ocalan

The European Platform for Freedom and Peace launched the global "I Want to Meet Abdullah Ocalan" campaign early this June, aiming to break the strict isolation imposed on him for years and demand his right to physical freedom.

The campaign includes a unified message: the release of Leader Abdullah Ocalan from his prison on Imrali Island, where he has been subjected to strict isolation for more than 27 years.

The people of Raqqa Canton emphasized that "the freedom of Leader Abdullah Ocalan is a demand of every free citizen who loves freedom, because he is the key to solving the outstanding issues in the region."

Zahra al-Hassan, a resident of Raqqa Canton, said: "We want to meet Leader Abdullah Ocalan, and the "I Want to Meet Leader Abdullah Ocalan" campaign is important. "This is a great honor for all the people of the region," she said, noting that "the leader is the only person who can bring peace and resolve the issues of the Middle East."

She added, "Leader Abdullah Ocalan has a major role in women's liberation and in building a democratic system in the region, which is the system to which all Syrians aspire."

Zahra al-Hassan called for "breaking the isolation of Leader Abdullah Ocalan. He is our leader, and there is no life without him."

For his part, Ahmed al-Khalaf al-Othman, a resident of Raqqa, said, "Our demand is to meet Leader Abdullah Ocalan and release him as soon as possible. He is the one who can resolve society's problems through his ideas."

Al-Othman explained that "his release from prison represents freedom for the people, because he is a role model and the supreme leader." He called on international organizations and the European Union to "release Leader Abdullah Ocalan, in accordance with the agreements and terms of reference that are administered between countries."

He emphasized multi-ethnic unity, saying, "We, the Kurds, Arabs, Syriacs, and Circassians, are committed to the struggle until Leader Abdullah Ocalan is released." His imprisonment."

Al-Othman sharply criticized the Turkish state, saying, "It claims to be an Islamic state, but its actions have nothing to do with Islam."

Adnan al-Ajili, for his part, called for "transforming slogans into concrete action programs," inspired by Leader Abdullah Ocalan's statement: "I am waging a revolution within myself every day."

Al-Ajili also issued an urgent appeal to international powers to put pressure for the physical release of Leader Abdullah Ocalan, emphasizing that the continuation of their struggle is linked to the achievement of this demand.

Al-Ajili concluded by saying, "This demand is based on the intellectual legacy of Leader Abdullah Ocalan, which upholds the values ​​of a pluralistic, democratic society and the empowerment of women, and makes the struggle for it a struggle for humanity."
