Raqqa Canton Intellectuals confirmed that demanding the lifting of the isolation of Leader Abdullah Ocalan is a duty for every individual, and stressed the importance of his thought in resolving all pending issues in the Middle East.

Shawakh al-Ali, a member of the Union of Intellectuals in Raqqa Canton, said: "Leader Abdullah Ocalan still lives among his people who love freedom and democracy, and Leader Abdullah Ocalan's project was like a dream, and we have accomplished much of this dream."

Shawakh al-Ali pointed out that: "The isolation imposed on Leader Abdullah Ocalan encouraged us to advance and struggle more to achieve his physical freedom. Although his file is free of any charges, the countries that support Turkey and the international community fear the leader's thought and philosophy."

For his part, Mohammed al-Azzo, a member of the Union of Intellectuals in Raqqa Canton, said: "Leader Abdullah Ocalan is a great leader and has left an unforgettable mark in history, like other leaders such as Guevara and Nelson Mandela who demand the freedom of peoples."

Mohammed al-Azzo called on: "All intellectuals to denounce the severe isolation imposed on Abdullah Ocalan and to support his thought, and raise their voices to demand his physical freedom."

Al-Azzo explained: "It is no secret to anyone that the issue of Leader Abdullah Ocalan is a global issue, as he is an international leader for all peoples yearning for freedom, and demanding his physical freedom is our duty."

In his turn, the co-chair of the Union of Intellectuals in Raqqa Canton, Raad al-Fadel, noted: "We are taking initiatives and organizing sessions to read the pleadings of Leader Abdullah Ocalan in order to learn about his thought, which calls for the freedom of peoples from authoritarian regimes."

Raad al-Fadel stressed: "We, the intellectuals of Raqqa, are continuing our struggle to demand the physical freedom of Leader Abdullah Ocalan, and we call on all intellectuals in Syria and the regions of North and East Syria to increase the pace of the struggle for this."
